    Summary

“Don’t apologize. It’s my own fault, really, now that we finally have a moment to breathe I should have thought to hold some magic back for you tonight.”
It takes a moment for this statement to sink in, and she looks up at him, confused. “Hold back some—what do you mean?”
Gale looks down at her, equally nonplussed. “I mean, tomorrow, circumstances permitting, I’ll try to keep some magic in reserve, so we can… you know, commune as we did last time.”
“Gale.” Tav untangles herself from him and sits back up so she can look at him properly. “Do you think I want it to be like that every time?”
He takes a small breath, then holds it, studying her with a slight frown on his face. Finally, he asks, “don’t you?”

Gale finds out that no, she doesn't.

    Summary

His agenda has always been clear: to be a different kind of god—a god among people, a god who responds to the ephemeral beings of Faerûn and their needs. And with the help of his friends and trusted advisors, he’s accomplishing exactly that. He has everything, can do anything, and nothing is missing except that which he will soon take.

Or: sometimes, the God of Ambition walks around Baldur’s Gate in a semblance of his human form. On one such walk, he begins to learn that he is very, very wrong about something very, very important.

“So how’d it go with the Commander?”

Clarke lets out a long huff, falling next to him on the double bed. Bellamy looks over at her, confused by the pinched expression on her face.

“Bellamy,” Clarke says, eyes closed, fingers massaging the skin between her eyebrows. “Why does everyone think we’re married?”

    Summary

I grieved for my future self. Now that I felt this kind of relief flooding my body, my resolve cracked on the floor like glass, the pieces skidding under my own feet. I didn’t know how I would ever put it back together. But even more distressing, I didn’t know how I would be able to deny him. Our bond. That instinct within him and that had been growing in me infinitesimally each day I saw him, touched him, thought about him…

Because even though Emily had said theirs was triggered by a single moment, I had had a growing suspicion, no matter how much I tried to deny it, that ours was different. Gradual.

That, without even realizing it, I had stumbled into something I hadn’t meant to and was now caught in it. Like a web that fused to my own skin, indistinguishable.

And, finally, that any more than one more weekend with him would kill me, if I ever became a vampire. Would kill us. Swifter and harder and more agonizing than death at the hands of the Volturi could ever be.

OR an Eclipse re-write with everything we love: slow burn, angst, fluff, smut, and a new take on imprinting that isn’t gross. The first few chapters pull heavily from Eclipse, but the writing after those is primarily all my own!
