"This is nuts." She crossed to the other side of the hall and sagged against the wall. She'd never not been welcome in Steve's apartment. Not in the crappy one bedroom in Brooklyn before they'd started going out. Not after in the ridiculously large suite Tony'd provided in the Tower. And he'd never not been welcome in hers. Oh sure, they didn't go wandering into each other's bedrooms or bathrooms without an invitation, but the public areas were fair game – living room, kitchen, even Steve's studio and Darcy's office.
Of course, back then, three whole hours ago, James Buchanan Barnes aka The Winter Soldier aka SHIELD's most wanted aka Bucky-who-hadn't-died-falling-off-a-mountain, Steve's best friend for his whole freaking life hadn't been tucked into the second bedroom.

Summary
When Clive Benson starts playing in Tim's orchestra, he doesn't think anything of it. Or of the friend (boyfriend? husband?) Phil, who keeps showing up after rehearsals. Clive is nice and a good musician and he makes a good third chair cello.
Then Tim starts noticing things. Like the injuries, and the late arrivals, and the frankly disturbing lack of the ability to actually respond to emails asking if he would please let them know if he's going to be missing for awhile so they can cover his part?
It all just goes downhill from there.
(It's too bad Tim never thinks of "superhero spy with a pseudonym" as an explanation until a little too late.)

Summary
Phillip Coulson, the famous detective, strode through the revolving doors of the Savoy Hotel just before seven in the evening. When Phil walked up to the reception, the clerk behind the desk smiled warmly in greeting. “It is a pleasure to see you again, Mr Coulson,” he said. “How may I help you this evening?”
When tragedy strikes at the Savoy Hotel, a beautiful socialite is found dead in her room. Her prized possesion, the Blue Star Diamond is stolen amongst the chaos. Detective Inspector Sitwell of Scotland Yard calls on the famous detective Phillip Coulson for help on the case.
