Seeing the Doom Patrol again was difficult. He had left for a reason, but when he was back with them it was suddenly like nothing had ever changed.
He allowed Mento to order him around, just like he always did. He left his friends behind to help him. He let Mento sacrifice everything and everyone for the sake of the mission until he finally had enough, snapping at Mento like he never thought he could.

Zelda sat across from her loyal knight and newfound friend, suddenly taking in his unwell appearance. As usual his expression betrayed nothing, but the running nose, loud sneeze, and still rain-damp hair told her everything she needed to know. Link was sick, and he must've been for a while.
“Oh dear, Link are you quite alright?” She searched his face, taking in his deep eyebags and burning cheeks. He sneezed again before he could plead his case.
