Summary
They said it started in China, at the annual festival in Shanghai. Some experts claimed the mutation originated because of an uncharacteristically dry winter. Some blamed climate change. Others said it was all part of the cyclical nature of the earth. A purification process. Nature taking its course.
The more hysterically minded said it was the end of the fucking world.
Either way, Ginny watched in horror with the rest of Edinburgh as more and more reports flooded the news. All across the northern hemisphere, the cherry trees were blossoming, and people were going mad.

Summary
At 22, Ginny had lived through several lifetimes worth of misery. She’d been deceived, betrayed, and possessed, her very soul almost wrung out into nothing. She’d been subordinated, humiliated, and tortured, lived almost an entire year surrounded by enemies. Fought Death Eaters and dementors and giant spiders. Been heartbroken, anguished, and grief stricken. Lost friends and mentors and a brother.
And through it all, she’d survived… because of luck, or sheer force of will.
Maybe a little of both.
If she could suffer and endure and prevail through all of that, she could live through some anonymous wanker plaguing her with badly written poetry.

Ginny drew in a full inhale, eyes sparkling, and then twisted her mouth to the side. “I’m sorry for talking about your former crush on Draco right before you planned to propose to me,” she said and he snorted.
“Yeah, well, you could just not talk about it at all, to be safe.”
“Not going to prove how much it isn’t true?” she asked sweetly.
Harry fixed her with a knowing look. “You know exactly how untrue it is. Don’t you, Gin?”
She licked her lips reflexively, eyes heating. “Mm. I certainly do.”
He could have left it there, but the moment had stirred him up – both the relief of having finally asked and of her answer – and he felt hyper aware of her: her gaze on him, her loose, confident grip on her broom, the way he could catch the scent of her shampoo and just the lightest touch of perspiration on the wind.
And so he pitched his voice low and asked, “Are you sure? I’d be happy to remind you.”
