Nico didn’t know what had possessed him to do something as forward as grab Will"s hand, but he figured he was this far in already, he might as well go through with it. He was still terrified of whatever had happened, and the strange new urge to simply experience affection and safety outweighed his common sense yelling at him to retreat. He didn’t want Will to leave. He didn’t want to be by himself, a weird realization for him, as he’d spent most of his life on his own. But something about this sunshine boy radiated warmth and happiness and safety, and Nico wanted it, whatever it was.
