Phayu is by no means a bad boss. But his expectations are high. His demands are high. He expects everyone to deliver high quality and innovation every time, expects them to keep on top of not just current trends but also coming trends. Every single drawing and model they make gets scrutinized, and it usually takes several revisions for him to be satisfied. He’ll praise what he thinks is good, and then immediately give a list of things that need to be worked on.
Rain must be made of something special if he’s not even the slightest bit intimidated by Phayu. And right now, it doesn’t look like he is. In fact, Rain seems more amused than intimidated, and that’s just not a feeling View in any way associates with Phayu. Or maybe Phayu’s not as tough on Rain as he is on his actual employees. If that’s the case, then oh boy, Rain will get a rude awakening when he starts working here.
Right now, though, View thinks it’s more likely that Rain is just a tough cookie. Which could potentially make for some fun times at the office.

Or, Phayu's employees are afraid of him, and are shocked to find out that the new kid, Rain, doesn't seem to be afraid at all.

“Rules,” the Omega says, breathless but firm. “The shirt stays on.”
That pings some red flags in Prapai’s mind, but it’s not like body image issues are unheard of. His instinct is to argue, to show the Omega what it’s like to be worshiped properly, to chase away those insecurities with his tongue.
But he’s not stupid. He knows that will only make things worse, so he nods instead. “Anything you want,” he promises. “But… can we lose this?” he fingers the knot at the side of the scarf. “I won’t bite. I just want to scent you.”
The Omega– and god, Prapai really needs to get his name– hesitates, fingers coming up to tease at the edges. “I don’t… It’s a failed bond,” he says, and the scarf suddenly makes perfect sense. “He doesn’t still claim me. I’m not having an affair.”
