“You tell me about every cheesecake Akito, I know your list by heart now.”

When bandits strike, Rui has to band together with the mayor and the sheriff to save his piano player from dying in a gunfight. Which would be a lot easier if said piano-playing cowboy were a bit less showboaty and, well...Tsukasa-like.

Wildly moving his hands, Tsukasa shakes his head. “You really don’t have to,” Tsukasa insists, “We must focus on practice. Drinks can wait until another time.”

“You—“ Rui doesn’t have the chance to verbalize his line before his stomach lurches, gravity flipping, and he finds himself with his back against the ground. Not on the harsh concrete, fortunately, but instead, the aged planks, which is only a marginally better outcome in the grand scheme of things but he appreciates the universe’s gift anyway.
It is only then he spots it, hair splayed out and palms faced up. A rusted, pulled-up nail sticking up from the floorboards. Rui bites his tongue. What a silly mistake on his part. He’ll have to hammer it in later.
Heaving breaths, aching lungs, a pounding in his skull. The balmy glow of the sun slanting through stratus clouds only half distracts him from the numbing air encasing him. Tsukasa’s sword is aimed at his throat. How the scene was supposed to end in the first place, with him laying on top of his spine looking up at the dull sky, though it's usually under different circumstances.
Or: Tsukasa gets too enriched in a scene and causes Rui a problem that involves ending up on the floor.

“..how long have you even been outside in the cold like this? i know i’ve given you gloves to wear, but that doesn’t mean you can stay outside in the snow like that, you know,” he chides away, shaking his head as more snow falls off of rui. “what’s going to happen if you get sick?”
“and tsukasa-kun would take care of me if i got sick, right?” he sings, the look in his eyes and the tone of his voice teasing although he’s sure in his claim — it stirs something in tsukasa’s chest.
“it wouldn’t happen in the first place if you’d listen to me,” tsukasa huffs, ignoring the feeling that gives him. “and seriously rui, you’re going to freeze if you don’t zip up your jacket!”

after tsukasa is snowed in from a snowstorm, rui has come to rescue him!
however, his methods are quite frowned upon.or : rui makes a horrid attempt at getting rid of snow. so next feasible solution — they duke it out in the snow

He got up to stretch and make his way towards the kitchen, watching as Tsukasa was cooking.
“It smells good.” He stated, shocking Tsukasa.
“I didn’t know you were done.” Tsukasa chuckled, facing Rui.
“I took some extra time to imply our baking stream~” Rui giggled, walking up to wrap himself around Tsukasa.

Rin nods, staring off into the distance behind Rui. She’s looking up at something and she seems to squint, trying to focus on whatever it is she sees.
“There’s someone on that roof.” Rin alerts him quietly, tilting her head in the general direction, as if the person in question could hear them to begin with.
The smile hidden under Rui’s mask falters momentarily but he gulps it down. Rui can only hope it’s not the authorities this time.
