    “Oh - and the front? Very little left to the imagination,” Yamato adds, and with that he tucks his shirt back in, straightens his tie and backs out of the room, winking at Taichi as he does.

    “We do not,” Taichi snaps, instantly.

    Because something has shifted. They’ve always felt like they were on the same wavelength; until lately, that is. Something about Taichi has felt instinctual. With Taichi, Yamato’s felt energized, invincible, and complete. It’s always felt so much like they’re woven from the same cloth, like they exist on the same frequency, and like they’re energies are compatible. Their souls have been linked, ever since the first time they combined to form Omegamon. And Yamato’s always been able to feel him, sense him, know him in completely inexplicable ways.

    And now, it feels like that link has been cruelly severed.
