When Buffy confronts the creature, she quickly realizes the threat is greater than she anticipated and attempts to flee. However, her old nemesis Spike stands in her way, refusing to let her escape. In a twist of fate, Buffy gets pulled into one of the spheres, inadvertently dragging Spike along with her.

The problematic Walter de Ville is about to eat his words when he meets a Miss Evelyn Jackson Alexander, who has more in common with him than any bride that has come before; but it'll be a wild ride lasting longer than a wedding weekend.
This is Walter’s perspective with several new scenes, an altered storyline, and thus a different ending (although I love the whole “burn it to the ground” version from the film). I recommend reading my one-shot called “That Thunderous Night” from Emmaline’s POV first, but it’s not necessary to enjoy this story.
