“I … can’t take my eyes off of you,” Yuuji admits dreamily. “You’re just so—”
“Please stop talking,” Megumi interrupts him, placing a hand over Yuuji’s forehead. He’s still blushing something fierce. “You don’t know what you’re saying.” He shoots an entreating look at Nobara and Gojo. “I think—I think what happened earlier on must’ve done something to his brain. This isn’t his normal behaviour. He’s confused, and it’s leading him to say things he doesn’t mean. That has to be the case. Right?”

Seirai Island is well known for one distinguishable feature: The eternal storm circling above it. No one knows why it’s there, only that it’s existed for as long as people can remember. When that storm shows signs of expanding Kazuha is tasked with investigating this phenomenon. To see if it could endanger the rest of Inazuma. He never would have expected such a commission to lead him to discovering an abandoned shrine that’s inhabited by a talking cat and a forgotten god.

Summary
Suguru would never admit it, because admitting it would make it real—god forbid if someone held it over his head—but he knew that it was a thing. He knew it was his thing.
His parents had called it a trait of their odd son. He had called it his thing. He had kept track over the years, set a limit to surpass or crumble under—ten or one thousand—and now that he had already passed ten, now that he was almost halfway there to one thousand, he was starting to think about the numbers more. He was thinking about them a lot more than any one person should. Only four-hundred-fifty-six more curses to go, then he’d be done with the whole thing.
(or: suguru grew up with a thing, his thing, and he escapes with it to work in a field where it becomes detrimental.)
