He sighed and brought a paw down to blue quills, slowly grooming the knots and tangles out of them. Sonic complied and laid his head down more, allowing better access for them to get cleaned. It was perfect.
The chattering around them slowly came to a stop and Shadow raised his head. He was greeted with the odd smiles of his teammates and a blue hedgehog letting out a small murr in his lap.
“Soooo,” Amy started, “Shadow! Sonic, do you have anything you’d like to tell us?”
The two hedgehogs turned to each other, raising a brow before turning back to Amy. Shadow just shrugged before returning to messy blue quills
“No?” Sonic said. A small grin sat on his face, “I mean there was this one time I-“
Shadow snorted, looking at his teammates' twitching eyes and awkward smiles. He finished the last knot and reached around, squeezing a glove-covered paw. The purr in Sonics chest only got louder
Yeeep. He sighed, This was perfect.
