Trust is a delicate flower that needs to get nurtured and time to grow. Even more so love. A tale of two disparate Wardens forced together, of finding a way to overcome the distrust, and their own painful past in the time of the Blight.
Very in-depth, character-focused exploration of the Dalish origin/warden, of all DA:O companions, and their relationship dynamics during the Fifth Blight. Follows and expands on canon events; AU in some ways. Multiple POV's and pairings. Slow burn af.
This is a COMPLETELY new rewritten and revised version of my story, originally posted on Fanfiction.net. Please see the individual chapter notes for more information about what had been changed. Summary
If she was any good at chopping wood, he would not survive the next couple of minutes and series of events. Not with the knowledge collected over the past months, since Ostagar, since meeting her, what he found attractive in women, or having a type. Did he even have a type before she waltzed into his life, insulted him and passed out in front of him back then? Doubtful because these women seen or met in passing after gaining his freedom with the Wardens were not Lenya...and she was all there ever was for him.
Alistair grapples with his ever-growing (sexual) attraction to Lenya, especially as she sets out to chop wood, right in front of his sala...err eyes! Oh the humani...elfinity? Either way, Maker help him and his poor heart. Or yet another story of how Alistair loves women who could kick his ass in several dozen ways :D

Summary
Carnage aside, there was something to be said about the aftermath of a battle. Lenya never quite understood the appeal before joining the Wardens. Only, that wasn’t entirely true, was it? The appeal of it had been unclear until she experienced firsthand what the lingering adrenaline rush and thrumming heat of her body wanted her to do upon combat victory.

Summary
This is a fic series of extended canon and in-between scenes spanning all three games, eventually building a coherent universe/narrative of my canon Shepard, Nora (Spacer, War Hero, Vanguard, Paragon/Paragade) Since i am a very character-focused writer with emphasis on their development, there will be lots of character interactions, dialogue and navigating relationships. Mostly focused on Shepard and Kaidan Alenko, but others will be thrown in the mix as well.
The fics are not written in order, as I write them as inspiration strikes, but will be sorted in order once it applies, since a lot of the stories build upon each other to form a complete picture.
