Summary
Shar's forces have prospered under their new Mother Superior in the years following the Absolute crisis. Tav had witnessed the atrocities carried out in Shar's name. How could she not be to blame for spilled Selunite blood, when she helped the Mother Superior become who she is?
Tav failed her Lady of Silver multiple times over. When Jaheira approached her to give her a way to atone for her sins, Tav seized it. Physically transformed by a powerful ring, her task is to infiltrate the Cloister of Solemn Embrace as an initiate to the Church of Shar and find out what Shadowheart is plotting.
Memory loss, darkness, and buried feelings threaten Tav's mission and her life. Being closer to Shadowheart, something she once prayed could be possible, she must come to terms with the monsters she created or succumb to the darkness that tempts her.

Emily doesn't belong in Faerun. But having the very volatile power to enter new worlds, it's amazing how many times she finds herself in places she shouldn't. After she and the friends that got pulled in along with her join the cast of Baldur's Gate 3, love blooms and withers, the plot has a mind of it's own. With Shadowheart deciding for herself to kill Nightsong and her parents, and Astarion bypassing Emily for his ascension.
Despite all these challenges, she completes the script. Her friends able to leave, Emily must remain in her self inflicted hell. Shadowheart departs to serve Shar, Astarion to chase more power. Wyll to help Karlach chase a cure to her engine in Avernus. Lae'zel with Orpheus. And Gale to Waterdeep. Emily cannot return to reality with her friends, her use of her powers binding her to the world of Baldur's Gate 3. She accepts Gales invitation to join him in Waterdeep.
But after almost a year passes and her friends return with her mentor to share they may have discovered her way back home, in Baldur's Gate. The city a year under Astarions thumb. Is returning worth the risk?

It's there she meets Wyll's friend Shadowheart -- a disk jockey who plays at his club. She's rude, she's blunt, she's nihilistic, she's very forward. But most of all, she's infuriatingly beautiful. She is everything Lae'zel didn't know she wanted. She is terrifying.
Lae'zel keeps returning anyway.
Modern AU - Shadowheart is a DJ, Lae'zel is a sad little puppy, and together they bring out the worst in each other. But also the best. And, in the end, the best of them wins. A tale of heartbreak, loss, recovery and, ultimately, connection.

Summary

But when the woman she sought to rescue easily took Tav's breath away, she quickly realised she was in over her head - especially when Shadowheart did not wish to be rescued.
