Summary
Soren always calls Callum the 'step prince' because of the fact that his mother married into the Royal family after Callum was born. While Callum never fails to be angered by this insulting nickname, he knows that it's nothing compared to if he - or for that matter anyone who wasn't already aware of it - knew that Callum Argentet's birth father was actually a Moonshadow Elf. But, one night, a guard reports that a band of Moonshadow Elves is hiding in the forest, planning to kill the king. The next night, the night of the Full Moon, things change. The heir to the throne, Prince Ezran Sargon of Katolis, discovers the living egg of The Dragon Prince, and the Moonshadow assassins end up saving the king's life rather than harvesting it.
However, the person who actually did try to kill the king manages to escape and goes into hiding. In hopes of catching the mysterious prisoner, finding out more about his own past, and definitely NOT having anything to do with a certain violet-eyed Moonshadow Elf, Callum joins the Moonshadow assassins as they make their way back to Xadia to return the egg of the Dragon Prince. Little does Callum know that these three things are more intertwined than ANYONE could've imagined.
