You don’t do well with people pissing you off. Which is why when the notorious Itoshi Sae does just that while you’re volunteering behind the scenes at the Blue Lock Eleven vs. U-20 Japan game, you find it entirely appropriate to shit all over him on live TV by praising his brother.
The interview doesn’t gain much traction (much thanks to your guardian angel busting their ass off, no doubt), so you let the seemingly insignificant event simmer from your mind and turn into a small inside joke with yourself whenever you catch a glimpse of Itoshi Rin paving the way to his soccer career in the media.
You don’t think for one second that the now famous pro athlete could have seen your little show for him. You certainly don’t think he remembers it to this day – but when a chance encounter in the ungodly morning hours on the streets of Yokohama has you meeting officially for the first time, you can’t seem to escape each other after. Not that either of you are really trying.
