Storm chasing was exhilarating. Chasing those storms took everything you gave it and gave it back tenfold.
Of course, coming down from the storm-chasing high was just as unique a feeling. Each chaser dealt with it differently. Some partied. Some smoked. Some didn’t want to be alone.
On their team, they tended to retreat into themselves.
But Kate. Kate hates the silence of solitude. Oklahoma is never silent, of course, but she feels lonely more than at peace after a chase.
She and Jeb take solace in each other.
