Close Proximity by Soldier Girl
Summary:
Most people have a personal bubble that dictates how close they allow someone to be to them physically. The closer you allow someone to get, the more safe, secure, and comfortable you feel with them.
I would love to see a ficlet or drabble, anything, where Jim, Spock, or other characters notice the lack of "personal space" between Kirk and Spock. As in, it's practically nonexistent. Maybe it could lead up to a spicy little encounter?
BONUS POINTS: If you can make it a 5-and-1 ficlet, from the POV of either Spock or Jim. Inspired by a K/S motivational poster I saw once.

Summary
Through the shift, Spock can’t help but note how anytime anybody says something to Kirk or visa versa, he responds, usually, with the same 1920s twang and a drawn out, “sweetheart.” When he calls Uhura it, she tuts and covers her face with her hand, though Spock does not think she is truly abashed. When he calls Sulu it, Sulu grins and calls their Captain “baby-doll” in return. When he calls Chekov it, the ensign looks mostly confused, the expression gradually easing the more Kirk repeats until finally he takes it as the new normal.
Not once, during the entire shift, does Kirk call Spock “sweetheart.”

Spock, who has been in love with Jim for a while now, is torn between loving and hating this new aspect of their relationship. On the one hand, he gets to touch Jim in ways he's only dreamed of.
