Summary
She was aware of how Rhaenyra bedded Criston on the night of her seventeenth birthday. She was aware of how Rhaenyra lost her virginity to Criston, to a man several years their senior, on that night. She was aware of how arrogant, how patronizing, how pleased with herself Rhaenyra was as she retold the night’s events to Alicent days later.
Just as she was aware of how, hours before her bedding, Alicent and Rhaenyra had lain in her bed together, hands in each other’s hair, clothes flushed against each other’s bodies, tongues in each other’s mouths. It wasn’t the first time, but it would be the last, because the warmth, the desire, the urge Alicent felt in her body was so much that it scared her. She’d felt her hips move against Rhaenyra without thought, but she knew what her body wanted, knew what it would make Rhaenyra want, and she wasn’t ready for the change that would bring. So she’d tossed Rhaenyra aside and the two tossed nasty words at each other as the hurt and anger and embarrassment bubbled up and Alicent left, slamming the door behind her.
Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower are reunited in the unlikeliest of ways: trying to disprove the psychic Alys Rivers.

Summary
Alicent hates Rhaenyra from the moment she meets her—standing at her door in boxers, infuriatingly gorgeous, after rudely waking her up at six in the fucking morning.
She hates everything about her, until she doesn’t actually hate her at all.
or, Rhaenyra thinks it would be a good idea to hide from a one night stand in Alicent’s apartment.

Summary
It’s going to be fine, Alicent. You’re just a bit ill. And you’ve gotten a manicure you can’t remember going to get sometime between nine p.m. and right now, the unhelpful part of her brain supplies.
When she looks up, her stomach lurches even more. Because the reflection that looks back at her does not have red hair or brown eyes or a perpetual frown on her face. Instead, she’s looking at Rhaenyra Targaryen

Summary
Alicent knows she shouldn’t bite but she cannot stop her reflexive retort. “That’s rich coming from a notorious narcissist.”
She immediately regrets it, is on the verge of apologising, but Rhaenyra is quicker and out for blood now, a dangerous glint in her eye.
“Better a self-aware narcissist than a self-righteous, deluded, parasite. Tell me do they teach charlatanism at the Citadel or is that something you inherited from your father?”
(Modern Academics AU - Alicent, literature professor and noted novelist, returns to King’s Landing after a long absence to take a position at the same university where former best friend Rhaenyra is a member of the history faculty. Why did they fall out and why in the Seven are they teaching a lecture together?)
