“What about you, Alex?”
Alex startles out of a daydream. Something about lakes and docks and inhaling a breath before you hit the water. He thinks the blonde’s name is Shauna or Shayla or something. He can’t quite remember. He’ll figure it out later. “What about me?”
She grins over the top of her beer. “Any girls in your life?”
Alex wants to roll his eyes at her assumption about his sexuality. Yeah, okay, she’s known him for all of a month, and sure, he looks like your stereotypical jock, but he kind of thought college kids would be up on this stuff automatically.
Alex shrugs. “I’m probably gonna marry this guy Henry someday, but we’re not together.”

Jack had first heard of Eric Bittle when he became the first out NCAA men's hockey captain. Then Bittle signed with Toronto, becoming the first out NHL player. That's how Jack met him.
