Summary
After losing his parents, Zhao Yunlan has been alienated and isolated from his friends by his current and long-time boyfriend, who abuses him physically, psychologically and emotionally, and has led him to believe that he is the only person he needs in his life. Brainwashed and reduced to a pale image of his former self, Zhao Yunlan suffers deeply, though he doesn't realize that his situation is abnormal at best.
His only escape is dancing, until he meets Shen Wei, a pianist and his new neighbor, who makes a vow to save him from his hell and become his safe haven.

Summary
Follow-up to The Heart of the Matter. Case fic.
As Zhao Yunlan relishes the recent turn his relationship with Shen Wei has taken, a mysterious death at school—the discovery of a female student turned into a statue—as well as the vanishings of various students on campus appear to be linked with the old science building, which is rumored to be a nest for ghosts or evil spirits. While Shen Wei looks for clues on campus, Zhao Yunlan and his SID handle a series of perfect burglaries, but both cases seem to point in the same direction, and as the group gets closer to the truth, Zhao Yunlan ends up on the wrong side of the investigation.
What will become of Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan's blooming relationship, and will Shen Wei's true identity be revealed at last?

The two hit it off, but things don't go quite as planned for Zhao Yunlan when the budding friendship between Shen Wei and his cat Da Qing begins to stir feelings in him for the man.

After Shen Wei's impromptu proposal, Zhao Yunlan and his future husband make the necessary preparations for their wedding day which is set to take place in one month. Whether it be the cake or the suits, nothing seems to go their way, and the two men soon become overwhelmed by this daunting task, but none of that matters anymore as they find themselves by the altar for one of the most important moment of their lives.
