When Cas dies, again, Dean decides to add some dotwork around it. Close-knit, almost filling in every blank space around the lines confining the original handprint, and gradually fading as they get away from it. Like the rays of the sun radiating from the handprint itself. At the center of all the black ink, Dean’s skin is now pink and a little paler than the rest of his body, but still there’s freckles decorating his shoulder.
