Summary
They didn’t even wait until his birthday. Somehow that made it all hit harder. There happened to be a ship heading to Bandomeer, and the Jedi Corps there was in need of a ploughman - and apparently since Obi-Wan hadn’t found the favor of a Jedi Master by the age of almost-thirteen, that was all he was good for.
Or: the fic where instead of ending up with Qui-Gon Jinn as his master, Kenobi ends up dragged into a mess decades in the making - Dark Jedi with grudges, Sith that are more than just bedtime stories to scare Initiates with, and an ability that Kenobi would never, ever call a Gift.
*Fic is completely written, and chapters posted as they're edited

Summary
"Even the smallest person can change the course of the future." - Galadriel
In an attempt to get the Arkenstone back for Thorin, Bilbo discovers the ring he's been using is the One Ring. Seized by a need to destroy gold, especially gold with the ability to ensnare creature and king alike, he sets out alone for Mordor. Anything to forget about the love that gold cost him.
What he doesn't know is that Thorin is no longer under the thrall of gold, and is desperately racing to catch up with him to keep him safe.
They may have just started on another adventure, but this one may not end as well as their first quest.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins is not fond of company, and even less so of the company of children. Unfortunately, events conspire to force him into taking in two lost dwarf children with nowhere else to go. Eventually, their parents are bound to come for them, of that Bilbo is sure, and when they do, he'll be able to return to his quiet life.
Little does he know...
