    Summary

Jazz inched closer to Chip. “What I’m trying to say is: Gillion doesn’t seem like a bad guy. He’s good, he’ll forgive you. You know, and for what it’s worth, I don’t think you’re a bad person either. I mean it. You’re good, Chip."

Chip smiled slightly. He moved his head to look at them. “You’re cool too, Jasmine.”

Jazz was already looking at him. He was sort of… beautiful, Chip thought.

Or: Chip is torn up after Gillion found out that he lied to him again. He spends all night building an arena on the deck of The Albatross and drowning in his guilt. Jazz finds him sulking and stays to give him some comfort, and maybe a little bit more.
