“And lust is a liar,” Cressida points out, desperately wanting to believe Eloise but knowing better. “It’s a short-lived fire. How can you say we’re different? How can we be more?”
Eloise’s thumb traced small circles on Cressida’s cheek. “Because it’s a need, Cress. You’re what I need.”
