The god paused for a good long moment. It was almost enough to make him angry all over again, but it was overshadowed by this awful sense of shame.
In his peripherals, he saw Buer reach out a small hand, only to pull it back. “I did not want you to hurt yourself any further. You are… It’s clear how much pain you’re in. The only option that made sense was to try and lessen in it whatever way I could.”
Or: Scaramouche is left in turmoil after losing the gnosis to Buer. When she tries to reach out a hand to help, he can only bring himself to be angry, and ultimately makes an irrational decision.

Summary
Each of her knuckles were scarred to all hell, with some cuts still unhealed. The wounds had probably been there since she was twelve, maybe thirteen, never given the chance to properly heal. They had gotten close, maybe once or twice, but Vi had this nagging feeling that they wouldn’t be entirely gone for a very, very long time.
Or: Vi struggles to cope with all the losses she's faced, even as things settle after the war. On a sleepless night, she tries not to let this come to the forefront of her mind, and Caitlyn offers what support she can.

Summary
After an incident where Chongyun's parents find out he still hasn't gotten his yang energy in control enough to preform proper exorcisms, they ban him from his work. Desperate to get strong enough to do what he loves, the young exorcist hatches a plan to find Conqueror of Demons, Adeptus Xiao, and ask him to train him. With much effort this goal is achieved, but things don't exactly go as planed. It'll all be worth it in the end for Chongyun to become stronger, or at least that's what he hopes.

Summary
Vi isn’t quite sure what came first: Ekko finding her, or the strain on her vocal chords so bad that she had to stop screaming. A lifetime could have passed. A lifetime without her sister. Not seven years in jail without her, or… however long she was away from her after hunting her down and almost killing her. Because this time, she was dead. And a lifetime wasn’t enough time for Vi to accept that she was really gone.

“Worse than last time?” Jayce posits a guess.
“It’s, eh-” Viktor shrugs. Tilts his chin this way and that. A tsk. “Bearable. I’ve endured worse hangovers in college.” he was going for a laugh, but the punchline never truly lands. Instead, Jayce’s thumb rubs softly into the back of his palm, pressing like he wants to idle the muscle mass into something new. It’s such a small thing, whatever this is, and yet it steadies the flow of his blood; the relief of loosening a valve, flicking off a pressure switch. It’s the necessary cracking-open of his breast. Jayce squeezes. Viktor allows himself the luxury of a sigh. “You shouldn’t be here.” he mutters.
Jayce reflexively shakes his head. “I took the day off.”
“We both know that’s-”
“—I could take the week.” he insists, almost a threat, a flicker of that eternal stubbornness coursing through him.

With a scoff, Cody takes a step back, looking down at where Fox is holding his bleeding head. "I remember when you could fight," he drawls, the contempt more painful than the punches before. "You should have seen that hit coming from miles away."
That is probably true. Perhaps he would have, if he had slept for more than two hours a time in the past weeks, if he had stopped to eat something other than ration bars, if his body were not one throbbing wound, tumbling from knockdowns to disciplinary actions and back again. Perhaps he would have, if a growing part of him did not want to be brought down hard enough that he cannot get back up.
"Want me to hit him?" Thorn asks, side-eyeing Cody with all the cold anger Fox does not have the energy for anymore."No, he's good." Fox does not want to find out whether Cody can hit hallucinations hard enough to make them disappear. He is not ready to let Thorn go yet.
- Fox gets a concussion in a bar fight and Cody insists on bringing him to a medic. He is not impressed when no one takes Fox' injury seriously. Something is seriously wrong with the Coruscant Guard and he will not leave before he finds out what.
