“Um, remind me again which color your toothbrush is? I’m not asking for any reason in particular.”
“Mine is green, yours is red. I really don’t understand how you mix those two colors up.”
Dylan made a face, then smiled far too wide for it to not be suspicious. “That’s great. Because I definitely just used the red toothbrush, so don’t worry about it.”
Ryan tried not to think about how he would’ve been repulsed if it was anyone other than Dylan. He probably would’ve burned the toothbrush if it was someone else, and he certainly wouldn’t have kept using it afterwards. But it was Dylan, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Ryan just stared at Dylan, waiting for the moment the penny dropped and Dylan would have realized what he had just said. “You… beat off a werewolf… with one hand?”
Dylan opened his mouth for a retort, then quickly shut it again. “Okay, poor choice of wording, but my point still stands.”
