He startled when a box was unceremoniously dumped onto the table in front of him.
“What the fuck is this?” he asked, blinking up at Logan.
“Open it,” the other man grunted, continuing to not make eye contact.
Wade squinted at him suspiciously. “Why? Is it a bomb?”
That made Logan finally look at him.
“No,” he sneered. “Because I wouldn’t risk blowing up an entire building full of innocent people - not to mention our blind, elderly roommate - just because you pissed me off!”
Wade stared at him.
He said our roommate.

“What are you doing?” Steve asks, sounding parched and shaky.
Eddie frowns. “I… shut the door? Like you requested?”
Steve frowns back. “Yeah, I meant for you to be, like, on the other side of it,” he explains. When Eddie just looks confused, he adds, “Why are you here?”
Eddie cocks his head, almost hitting the toilet in the process.
“Well, I found you sitting here in the dark on the bathroom floor, Harrington,” Eddie explains patiently. “I was, you know, mildly concerned but I can leave if you want me to.”
It’s like that “oh my god they were roommates” vine except with mental illness and the excruciating catharsis of being known.

Steve stopped stock still and stared at Eddie.
“Don’t,” the other man warned, holding up a finger.
Steve gaped at him. “What are you wearing?” he asked in something akin to horror.
“I said don’t,” Eddie repeated desperately. “It’s fucking… I had a clothes disaster! Okay?!”
Robin emerged from the back and barked out a laugh.
“Oh my God, you’re dressed like Steve!” she cackled. “Gross!”

Summary
Steve has a brief lapse in impulse control that changes everything because he suffers from a condition called “I have no sense of self-preservation unless I’m actively trying to prevent children from dying”itis and unfortunately, it’s incurable.
Luckily, Eddie’s into it.
“Caaaareful, Harringtoooooon,” Eddie said in a sing-song voice. “Trying to fix me is a lost cause.”Steve scoffed. “I’m not trying to ‘fix’ you,” he grumbled. “I’m not delusional.”
“Sure you’re not,” Eddie said in that shit-eating way of his. “You just want me to be a more responsible co-parent for Dustin.”
Steve couldn’t help but frown, hating that he could feel his ears turning red, wishing that Eddie would back up and that he could stop feeling so goddamn weird.
“We’re not - I’m not a parent, co or otherwise,” he said, frowning even harder.
Eddie made a face like Steve was tragic. “Oh, Steve… I thought you said you weren’t delusional.”

Jim rolled their eyes. “Fine,” they grumbled. “I’m just saying that Blackbeard isn’t gonna believe this shit - I don’t think he’s very superstitious.”
Lucius shot them a look. “All pirates are superstitious. You remember how they all acted when they still thought you were a woman!”
The expression Jim leveled at him was as dry as it was unimpressed. “Blackbeard didn’t give a shit,” they pointed out before raising an eyebrow. “In fact, I think he thought it was cool.”
Lucius threw up his hands, rolling his eyes. “Of course he did! YOU’RE cool!”
Jim smirked, obviously a little pleased. “Okay, you might have a point there.”
Sometimes, the best way to facilitate healing is by being a sneaky little minx - luckily, Lucius is the sneakiest little minx around.

Besides the obvious, of course. Logan is not referring to the visceral freakshow that comes with mutant regenerative powers, he is certainly accustomed to that. Nor does he really mean Wilson’s mouth, a ceaselessly foul thing that oozes more nonsensical filth than it outputs anything else.
No, it’s something more intrinsic, Logan reasons, something that he can’t quite put a finger on.

Logan grabs Wade's jaw and presses his thumb against his mouth.
"Shhhh."
Wade looks at him and nods slowly.
His fingertips are still on Wade's lips, and Wade looks pleasantly shocked that Logan chose not to punch him to shut him up. Logan did consider it, but a more peaceful approach seemed to work better. He doesn't know if it's the way his shushing came out strangely hoarse, but for a moment, Wade is quiet.He stares at Logan with slightly widened eyes, and the moment stretches on until the bastard sucks Logan's finger, coating it with warm, viscous saliva.
