Y’know, I like to think that my Estate is doing well enough that poverty was no longer a problem.”
He wakes. He wakes to something far worse than a nightmare. He wakes to a voice that rings within his ears every time he takes a whiff of alcohol. He’s heard it every night for years upon years except now it is far worse than a memory. This is reality.
His jaw clenches, the slightest tremble in his hands growing stronger and stronger as the man steps closer.
“Oi,” his tone is different, Javier notes, older, somehow even more irritating and- maybe he really is delusional for thinking this -concerned, “I’m being serious, are you alright?”
He grips his sword.
Maybe this really is an illusion after all.

Javier and Lloyd head out to deal with a wild lizard that has been stirring up discord in the Frontera territory, it doesn't go well and Lloyd is out of commission.
Meanwhile someone is causing problems for the estate and Javier and Lloyd must figure out who is responsible.

“Master Lloyd, I don’t think… I don’t think you should eat that.”
“Shut up, Javier. What’s the point of having an immune system if you don’t use it?”
“I saw a cockroach in the kitchen. This place can’t be clean, please don’t-” Before Javier could finish speaking, the spoonful of mystery meat found its way to Lloyd’s mouth.
“Yum!” Lloyd exclaims a bit too loudly- as if to convince himself along with Javier.

“Oh god, this is the end.” Lloyd moans, holding his stomach. “Javier, why didn’t you stop me from eating that food? I can’t shit.” Javier’s eye twitches, but he doesn’t defend himself. It’s almost cathartic to see Lloyd suffering from his irresponsible decision.
