“Hey,” she greets as casually as ever, and the grin she fixes him with is lopsided and teasing, full of that Jinx-specific brand of mischief that he adores and aches for in equal measure.

Summary
“What are you doing?” Jinx yells, her voice suddenly coming alive. Panic and confusion war in her eyes as she twists to look at him, the wind stealing her voice as soon as it escapes her mouth. “This was only supposed to be me!”
“Yeah, well,” Ekko shouts back, heart in his throat. “I couldn’t let you leave me again.”
He reaches for the pull string one more time as the floor rises up faster and faster. He grips onto her with all of his strength, and prays that the anomaly will have enough juice to save them both. As he finally pulls he doesn’t notice the crack running up the side of the glass, or the ominous tick as his stopwatch ticks past the red line he’d drawn with one of Powder’s oil crayons.
Pull. Reverse.

Ekko accidentally brings him and Jinx back to before it all began. Now, they have to struggle to fix the mistakes of the past while figuring out how to heal. But, hey, at least they're together.

Summary
It has been seven years after the Battle of Piltover. Ekko has been chosen to be Sevika's successor in the Council once she retires—despite their many differences, the opportunity to futurely represent Zaun being an honour. However, as things settle and the need to gather and survive is no longer his forethought, he becomes overwhelmed by all the hurt he cast away over the years to be able to lead. And he needs to take a step back, in order to take a leap forward.
Or: Ekko goes on a trip. A chance meeting, the opportunity to reconnect, and to build something new follow.

Summary
The voices in her head are, for once, painfully silent as Jinx slides into the embrace of her father, lets claws wrap her in the semblance of a hug – claws tear into her skin, teeth come gnashing towards her head, this beast wants her dead – and smiles, a single tear slipping down her cheek.
"Big fat hero," she repeats, and she tilts her gun upwards, finger squeezing the trigger as her eyes slip close.
Everything glitches, and her vision whites out.
The last thing she hears, as the world around her dissipates, is the pained cry of her own name.
