What if years ago, Hannibal found a child-- so alike his Mischa-- and saved it? What if that child knew everything about him and loved him anyway? What if she came home to surprise him and took a liking to Will?
The only thing Hannibal could do would be to oblige her and change his plans, of course.

Summary
It’s becoming more common for their therapy sessions to run late, and more often than not they take place in Hannibal’s home. Sometimes over dinner, sometimes over whiskey or wine in Hannibal’s library. Places where it’s safe for Will to talk and dark enough to conceal him.
He watches Will pace and he can already smell it on him; the things that he wants, his darkest desires, things he’s too afraid to ask for but things he needs so desperately. It’s been building up for weeks, a tremor of tension that now roars whenever they look at each other. It’s only a matter of time, and Hannibal is content to play the long game.

Summary
“There exists religions, Will,” Hannibal begins slowly, voice rougher than Will has ever heard it, “That believe lust is the root of all evil… And is worse than murder.”
Will closes his eyes, exhaling slow and quiet as Hannibal traces his fingers up the length of his sternum, tentatively measuring him up. Will shivers despite the warmth of the room, wetting his lips.
“If that were true… And you were given the opportunity… Would you still pray at my altar? Rejoice in your evil roots?”
