Hongjoong had started developing a bad habit - fantasising about things like kissing Wooyoung when he pouts, and holding his hands when he flaps them around while talking, or falling to his knees to worship him when he dries the sweat on his face with his tshirt after dancing, exposing that one sliver of skin that haunts Hongjoong in his sleep. Hongjoong crossed the line in his own mind - and thus decided to punish himself by removing himself from the situation altogether.

Hongjoong sighs. “I just don’t understand what the big deal is? If it’s not even that good on your own, how good can it be with another person, really?”
This achieves Hongjoong’s goal, at least, in the sense that the entire table goes quiet. Everyone is looking at Hongjoong, who just sits there, her stomach coming up her throat and her chest tight. “What?” she asks defensively.
Wooyoung gapes, her eyes wide. “Wait, unnie… So does that mean—does that mean you’ve never—?”
Hongjoong has a secret. When it comes out, Seonghwa volunteers to help.

“Maybe you would’ve remembered if you loved me more!” Wooyoung teases him one more time as he starts to run away and Hongjoong can’t help but scoff. He looks down at his poster, his handful of garbage, his pockets full of snotty tissues, his bag of things that Wooyoung might need that he’s been carting around like a glorified nanny. Yeah, sure. The problem is that he doesn’t love Wooyoung enough.
