Dad’s got pictures of him with a younger Undyne, and a big group photo of Frisk and their friends in front of Mom’s school, but other than that… nothing. Mom’s got a lot more — Frisk posing for school photos, group photos in front of a beach, Frisk climbing up a tree, sans and Papyrus with their arms around one another and grinning at the camera, Frisk next to a fireplace at Christmas, Frisk, Frisk, and more Frisk.
Except in these photos, it’s just Frisk. There’s no you — or at least, no you that Mom or anyone else is even aware of. Behind those brown eyes of theirs, you’re always lingering around there somewhere. Impossible to pick up in photos. Nobody knows you’re here, and you don’t want anyone to know, but…
It’s complicated? Frisk guesses.

Summary
Watching Iwaizumi like this, Tooru feels like a spectator of his life, not like he’s actually here, trying to be a part of it. It’s bizarre. They never used to need to fill every silence when they revolved around each other like planets in orbit - unequivocal, absolute. This insecurity is like a sudden knife to Tooru’s gut carving out the reality of the matter, which is, ultimately, that he doesn’t know how to be around Iwa-chan anymore.
It feels like they’re a rubber band being stretched back back back, pulled taught with a tension that will only resolve itself when it snaps. Tooru doesn’t know what it means for them if they let it snap.
Oikawa visits Irvine, California.

“Of course I’m back,” Steve says like it’s clear and simple.
