He decided he really was one of those wizards who did not hate spliffs. He also did not hate muggle music.
    He looked to Hermione, sprawled on the floor next to the Gramophone, head on an emerald green cushion, eyes closed and one hand weaving through the air in rhythm to the music. He definitely didn’t hate muggle-born Golden Girls, he thought, surprising himself again.
    Theodore Nott, unwilling Death Eater, sole surviving member of the hated House of Nott, and consummate loner, spent the night before his 18th birthday getting high and drunk with two of the most lauded Gryffindors of their generation, learning about Pulp, The Cure, Pink Floyd, the Rat Pack, and Billy Joel… and he didn't hate any of it. It may very well have been the best day of his life.

    “Harry,” he started again, almost too quiet. “Are you coming to find me? Because you're… ready?”

    Harry turned his face back to Theo, eyebrows raised and lips parted in apparent surprise. “Right. Yes, sorry. Theo, I'm the one here that wants you. I should have been more cle-”

    “Can I kiss you?” He blurted and Harry blinked, then nodded.

    Theo turned his body towards Harry slightly, limbs stiff from the cold, fingers entirely numb. His breath kept hitching in his chest, and that horrible inflated feeling was coming back, but he leaned forward anyways. He watched as Harry's eyelids slid shut behind his glasses, hesitated a hair's breadth away, their shared breaths misting warm, then slammed his own eyes shut as Harry pushed forward to meet him.

    They sat there, frozen in place, lips pressed together for one breath, then two, and then Harry dragged Theo’s stiff, half numb body over his outstretched legs until Theo straddled him. Warmth wrapped around Theos upper body, as Harry pulled him closer and kissed him again, just as soft and hesitant. Theo realized he was wrapped in a cloak he hadn't even noticed Harry wearing, frigid fingers curled numbly between Harry's chest and his own, and that Harry Potter was kissing him. And he was more or less frozen.

    Harry pulled back, face now brilliantly red and looked up at him slightly, reflected light again blocking his eyes. Theo growled, frustrated, and snatched the glasses off Harry's face, wedging them into the curls atop his own head. He forced a full breath of air into his lungs as he took in Harry's own dark lashes, eyes wide enough to show white around his green irises. Theo felt his own lids slide lower, almost half closed as he tried to adjust to this most recent development; straddling Harry Potter's lap behind a shed on Christmas Eve day…

    “Bloody bedroom eyes,” Harry mumbled almost too quietly for Theo to hear. He felt his mostly numb cheeks tighten in what was probably a crooked smile, felt Harry's chest hitch, saw his pupils widen slightly. Oh, Theo was in so much trouble.

     

    After years of pining, I finally found my first favorite Nottpott fic😌😌😭😭

    This story is everything to me. It came to me at the time when I thought this fandom wouldn't ever feel welcoming to an exclusive bottom Henry fan like me 🥹🥹💕💕

     

    Henry looks over at him and he laughs.

    Alex nearly crashes the car.

    He’s not embarrassed to admit it. He swerves away from a telephone pole and back onto the road, swearing, but Henry doesn't even seem to notice. He’s curled into himself, laughing.

    Somewhere in the very back of his mind, Alex had thought that he would be ready to see Henry smile. He had stared at that photo of 13-year-old Henry smiling for so long, that the curve of that small grin had haunted his dreams for years to come. Like a form of exposure therapy. He had thought that he was probably the only person in the world prepared to see it—live and in the flesh.

    He had been sorely mistaken.

    Because Henry smiling in person—a full blown out smile—is a sight that nearly makes Alex’s heart stop in his chest. His eyes curve into crescent moons, that glorious mouth stretches sweet and wide, and his happiness is so bright, so incandescent; it could light the entire city of Paris up completely—Eiffel tower and all.

    And his laugh—

    His laugh is unreal.

    It’s melodious and gentle, something familiar and something completely new all at once. It’s a siren’s call, it’s Alex’s new favorite song—it’s so beautiful, Alex might just shatter all his bones and limbs just to hear it again. It’s so fucking gorgeous.

    “Oh my God, Alex,” Henry laughs and smiles, and —

    And Alex? A feeling balloons inside of him, something big and indescribable, and it’s a feeling so strong he goes a little lightheaded. He could die from this feeling, could go to an early grave because of this terrifying, awful, exhilarating feeling in his chest. He wonders if he will die from it.

    Alex suddenly pulled back, grip so tight on his shoulders that he winced a little.
    “Promise me...promise me that when we grow up, we won’t ever fight like that.”

    Henry snorted, not on purpose, so when Alex’s expression dropped even more, he rushed to explain himself.

    “I’m sorry Alex, it’s just…only married people fight. We are best friends. We’ll never fight like that.”

    Alex tilted his head in contemplation.
    “I…thought we were already married?”

    Henry furrows his eyebrows in confusion before laughing once more.
    “Alex! That was a ring pop wedding when we were like..babies! That doesn’t count!”

    “It counted to me..” Alex trails off with a huff, letting go of his shoulders in favor of crossing his arms.
    Henry rolled his eyes. Alex could be such a child when he wanted to be.

    “Okay, fine. When we’re older, we’ll get married for real.”

    Alex grinned, pushing out his pinkie.
    “And no fighting!” Henry grinned back, pulling out his pinkie and linking it with his.
    “No fighting,” he promised.

    And Alex thinks that’s sad. He thinks it’s sad because they have fucked or licked or sucked or touched just about every night since they have been able to. Days and lifetimes are only so long, and it’s ridiculous for Henry to not truly enjoy having Alex as a boyfriend.

    “Yeah,” Alex tells himself as he rolls out of bed and grabs the lube from their bag. Pads to the stairs. “It’s really a shame,” he thinks out loud. “Henry deserves this.”
