“She misses you too.” Ekko looks away, into dappled leaves, sky peeping through branches. A dragonfly buzzes by his boots, then choosing darting off to sample flowers instead. The sun paints a golden arc on his cheek. He is beautiful in a way she can’t explain. Stars, fireworks, skyscrapers. Distance she can’t clear, too far away to touch. “Always has.”
“What about you, buster?” Powder knocks his shoulder, a laugh climbing up her throat. “Didn’t you miss me?”
His throat bobs. The quiet returns.
“Yeah,” Ekko answers. “I did.”

But there is so much to do, so little time. And yet... maybe, among the chaos of the oncoming storm, they'll find the time and will to pick up the pieces of what they once were. Maybe they can put them back together.

Hope is a winged beast, and now is the time to learn how to fly.Or : what happened during the timeskip between Jinx's rescue at the beginning of episode 9, and her arrival on the battlefield? My guess is a whole lot.
