Summary
The payphone started ringing.
No.
No no no no–“Fuck, no, please…” Ford’s desperate whisper fell on deaf ears. Eyes widening in delight, Bill picked up the phone with a grin.
“Panley Stines here, think I missed a call from you?”
One last look at the camera. Bill waggled his eyebrows, and Ford’s stomach twisted in a sick lurch at the demon’s glee.
“Guess who?”
------------
Or: What if Stanley picked up the phone that night?
A retelling of *that* bit from the Book Of Bill. Now with an all new second chapter: the aftermath.

Iago didn’t care that he was safe. He wanted to go back, to find Othello, to save him. To hold the man, tell him that it would be alright, that he was here, that he was sorry. To hear Othello say it back.
AKA what if Iago actually caused problems because he was in love with Othello? And what if he went back to set things right?
Enjoy the no-comfort angst with a final scene that hopefully makes you cry like I did when I wrote it!

Summary
It's lovely up here; all meadows dotted with wildflowers, wind-beaten tracks criss-crossing this way and that through the fields, weaving inland to the pinewoods. The sun's hot on his back as he passes ramshackle stone walls, long since crumbled to piles of ancient rubble and scree, and then the path winds downwards, still following the line of the coast until Sirius finds himself outside an old white cottage, tucked away behind the hill with a rose garden that faces out to the sea.
Sirius moves to Cornwall for the summer and meets a rude, beautiful boy who is writing a book that may or may not be about dragons.

Summary
Stan’s next shout feels more like a scream, desperate and frightened and tearing his throat on the way out: “Ford, please! Come on! Stanford, you can’t do this to me, not again—Stanford!”
Something slams into him, and he hits the deck hard. His first instinct is, naturally, to punch—but he doesn’t get that far. As soon as he tries to scramble back to his feet, a knee wedges itself into his back and two hands seize tightly on his shoulders and press him down. A low, dangerous growl reverberates around him, and he freezes. Shit. Shit.
...are there werewolves this far out on the ocean?
But when he cranes to see over his shoulder, he does not see a werewolf. Instead, he sees—
“Ford?!”

Summary
Stan jerks away, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “I’m not going to be second-best,” he growls, eyes dark. There’s a certain angry defiance in Stan that’s enrapturing, white-hot like wildfire. “I know I’m not as good as him, but I can’t—” His chest heaves. “I won’t do that to myself.”
Fiddleford reaches up, tracing the curve of his cheekbone. And it only takes his touch for Stan to fall apart again, to tremble like a newborn calf.
Beautiful, Fiddleford thinks.
