Summary
Astarion wanted to make Wyll's heart beat. He wanted to make his lungs work. He wanted to be the reason sweat pooled in the cleft of his pectorals, the reason his hands trembled, the reason his voice caught in his throat. He wanted to bring him close again and again, to make him see stars behind his eyelid, to hear him say I need you, I need you, Astarion, I love you over and over and over.
He wanted to ruin him. By the Gods, he wanted to ruin him.

Summary
The sun breaches the horizon, spilling radiance all down the cliffs. It turns the water into a mirror. Minthara flinches and curses, fumbling for something in her bag.
“I forgot,” she says, half-bitter and half-rueful. “I had grown too used to seeing you under the light of day.”
Hasdrubal goes with Karlach into the Hells; Minthara stays in the Gate. Home lies somewhere between them.

Summary
There is no one to pay her any mind, scowling and sipping in the shadows – no one, save her own bard, appearing from within the throng of dancers. Her mismatched eyes find Minthara immediately. The red of blood and brown of earth; she denies the pleasure of her own ruby stare and looks away quickly. It’s a dismissal.

Summary
Orin is dead.
Two things are laid before her where she kneels, stiff and still and on sacrificial plinth; the remains of an inhuman jaw, and a dagger that knows her better than she knows herself. The Netherstone pulses as she presses a finger to it. It hurts, because it doesn’t.
Long live Orin the Red.
Her fingers are too rough when she grasps Alyaer by the chin to pull her gaze up. She soothes the touch as best she can with a thumb brushed against her jaw. The red of blood, the brown of earth; there is no pity in Alyaer’s eyes. No pity and no surprise, only, only–

Summary
“Mm. So I’m supposed to offer?”
“Offer words, yes.”
She takes the plastic stirrer in her mouth, savouring the liquid drops while making burning eye contact. Lae’zel knows that she knows she’s transfixed on the movement of her tongue.
“Isn’t there anything else?” she purrs innocently, ice clinking against the glass as she takes to stirring again, “Words only take you so far.”
Lae’zel does not answer, but she purses her lips and it’s more than enough. Hook, line and sinker. She would get something out of this evening. Something she may or may not regret later, but the now is so tantalising she almost starts to salivate.//
Shadowheart, psychology major at BGU, and Lae'zel, a githyanki military academy dropout, have an arrangement.
(Small hiatus!)
