Summary
Buck doesn’t think that if he were to say, “I’m in a bad place”, that anyone would turn him away. Really, he doesn’t. The 118 has too many good, kind people for that.
But every time he wants to open his mouth, to say something, to reach out to Eddie or Bobby or Hen or Chim, he hears Eddie yelling, “you’re exhausting.”
—you’re exhausting, you’re exhausting, you’re exhausting—
So each day he does his job and he laughs and he jokes and he pretends he’s the care-free goofball he’s always been. And each day he packs away his bruises and his worries, takes them home to his empty loft with its quiet rooms, and licks his wounds in silence.

Summary
“God,” Eddie’s hugging his ribs, possibly aching from all the laughter, “do I wanna ask about Buck’s graduation?” The laughter slowly pitters out, Buck catches the look that Bobby shoots at Eddie, the patented ‘stop talking right now’ look, one that Buck’s had the most experience with, he’s sure. “What, was that one too crazy to tell stories about?”
Eddie doesn’t recognise the look, but Buck can’t really blame him. The man is usually stoic enough that Bobby doesn’t need to send him the ‘stop talking’ look.
“Um, no. My… I didn’t have a party.” Buck shrugs, prepared to wave it off.

Summary
“So! The evacuation order had been given, that means you get out straight away!” Daniel yelled after him as he began to follow his younger brother.
“I thought someone was in danger, I was doing my job!” Buck explained whipping around to face Daniel and snap back at him.
“Your job! Your job is to listen and do want you’re told to do!” Daniel shouted at him, getting in his face in frustration.
Or, Buck and Daniel are both firefighters now firefighters at the 118. While Buck tries to cope and move on from the devastation he experienced while apart of the seals, Daniel stresses and worries about his little brother and is determined not to let anything hurt him again. Bucks recklessness and Daniels overprotectiveness causes them to butt heads, will they be able to make it up to each other or does tragedy get there first.
