An idea that bloomed out of my contribution to LJ hgcrossovers – Hermione Granger Crossover Exchange 2011
6) The war didn't end with the death of Voldemort and has spilled over into other areas/timelines. Hermione is sent to try and clean up the mess and/or train those now caught up by the war on how to deal with magic.
1) War makes for strange bedfellows (or, the enemy of my enemy is my friend).
3) I have been known to lie to serve my own agenda.
2) Changing one moment changes more than she thought.Imagine Hermione Granger being sent to different worlds (6): where could she go? who would she meet? would she love or hate? enjoy her surroudnings or yearn for her home dimension?

“You don’t want to stay with the Senju,” Madara said in a de facto voice, pulling sheets of paper out of the sleeve of his kimono. Tobirama wanted to rage, to call Madara out on his scheme, and only refrained from doing so because it would destroy his disguise. But then his eyes fell on the paper that Madara stretched out for him to take.
Haltingly, he took the papers into his hands, and his gaze roamed over the manual depicting the technique used to incorporate the mixture of metals into molten glass. One of the most crucial steps in the production of the specialized glass the Takeuchi estate was so famous for.
Madara stepped closer, but this time the air between them was not charged with desire. The words seemed to fall like an executioner’s ax as he spoke.
“You don’t want to stay with the Senju, Lord Takeuchi, because they have sold you out.”

Being one of the few kind nobles, he warned the grieving parents about their near mistake for their daughter, and offered to adopt Myne into his household as his daughter on good will.
But on Henrik's end, nothing is ever free even if he was nice. Myne's mana would go to power up the Magic Tools at home for her health so his family could experience a warm cozy household and life conveniences his betters enjoyed yet his family has no chance to, until he found this golden goose; while Myne gets to live healthy and safe from the Devouring as a trade-off. Mana is everything in their society, but she is more than just a well-treated battery...she's a fountain of trends beyond his power to protect and he'll discover that later.
