It has long since been years since that final battle, yet Adrien can still find himself sometimes slipping away into delirium, into a constant struggle between reality and the past.
It’s simple slipping back into old habits when his past seemed to follow him around the corner like a dark midnight shadow, long and foreboding. Sometimes he feels like a shadow of himself, smile ripped away and eyes filled with tears. He rarely feels like his old model self, either always surrounded by desperate fans or smiling for camera after camera. Those days, even when his smile is a little tight around the edges, he has at least still felt like smiling.
These days, smiling for a camera just reminds him of his father.

Summary
After Hawkmoth's defeat, Adrien is a little, lost bird without a home. Marinette Dupain-Cheng takes him in, and they live as roommates together.
But not everything is okay. Adrien is a terrible roommate. They fight about everything and neither has any idea of their mutual pining for each other due to the lack of communication after the reveal and the battle.
Adrien is jealous of Marinette and Luka's very close friendship.
Eventually, enough is enough. Adrien decides that he'll do anything to fix his relationship with Marinette.
Starting by being a friend to her again.

“You can’t miss someone sitting right across from you,” responds Catra. Adora can’t help but disagree.
She looks at Catra expectantly, and after a pause, Catra lets out a long breath. “Fine, fine,” she says. “You’ve always been my favorite ghost, skeleton in the closet, whatever.” Adora frowns over at her. Catra shrugs, evidently unwilling to say anything else. Catra had imagined lots of scenarios for her first bus ride to school. Annoying people screaming on the seats around of her, getting kicked out by the bus driver for punching a random guy (wouldn’t be the first time), or whatever other torture school buses could provide.
