Navia looks like she was struggling to keep herself from laughing. She covers her mouth with the palm of her hand and her ears flush. Clorinde wrings her hands anxiously.
“O-Okay,” Navia snorts. “Okay. Why do you want this job, specifically?”

She notices the way Navia stops short of herself from leaning into her space. The way she was trying not to grab her hand and intertwine their fingers like they used to. She notices the way Navia looks at her, but then suddenly becomes scared of something. Clorinde didn’t mind, of course.
