It was the Wizard himself who had tasked them this. The great and terrible who had demanded they retrieve the broom stick of the Wicked Witch of the West.
The Ozians had conjured it in their heads that they were going to kill the Witch. They had granted them good fortune on their hunt. The flames of conceptualisation fuelled by the Tin-Man, who only added to the fire with his ridiculous notions of killing the Witch himself. Oh, how she wished he hadn’t said that. Dorothy Gale was no killer, and she refused to stand idle as her friends slaughtered the green fiend, no matter how wicked she may be.
