He'd had to hit the ground running (literally, because that shadow thing had been hungry and fast) and hadn't had much time to take in his surroundings.

    Luckily he was fast in this life. His strange new set of goat-like legs seemed to help with that.

    A sliver of the original goods’ soul, tucked itself up neatly right under his own. A little sliver, too stubborn to release its hold on its current incarnation. A little sliver which held on to Shen Yuan’s probably shabby soul in this exquisite body and refused to let go.
