Summary

Summary
Bradley Uppercrust III has followed his life by a set of rules. He's been crafted to perfection to be worthy of being his father's son. Perfect at everything he does, and look good while he does it. After the truth of what happened at the X-game competitions came out, Bradley becomes a ghost, slinking to the shadows where he once shined brightly.
In contrast, Max only became more popular. His life was good, despite the rising popularity having been strange getting used to. He wished for a normal sophomore year free of incident, but when Roxanne texted him one day that she was accepted to his school’s study abroad program and wanted him and the others to come with her to France with her mysterious best friend, his luck for a normal sophomore year went down the drain.
Nothing could have possibly prepared Max for the realization that Roxanne's best friend was actually Bradley Uppercrust the Third himself, and they would be spending an entire semester together abroad almost 5,000 miles away from home. Things couldn't get any worse for Max, and Bradley was a royal pain in the ass to have as a roommate. Except as time passes, he realizes maybe Bradley wasn't the devil incarnate that he thought he was…

Summary
Bradley Uppercrust III, or 'Brad', as Maximilian Goof calls him, is back at school after being out for three weeks following the X-Games. Tank slingshotting Bradley into the blimp has forced new fears and new feelings into Bradley's life. All he wants now is to get through his last two years at State and graduate. He's on thin ice with the school and his father, so he needs to not make another mess or spill too much in therapy. However, Max seems to have other ideas.

Max had hoped to never see Bradley again, ever, after the X-Games. So why was Bradley walking up to him and his friends? Was he actually being serious, or was this another scheme? Wait, does Brad actually have a heart?

Bradley apologizes to everyone because he needs it for himself. He doesn't want forgiveness, just wants peace. Max forgives him, because he's Goofy's son (and because Brad gave him a pencil in class).

Summary
Max' cheeks burned up and he felt more than a little dumb for it. But it was the truth. Bradley was pretty. Not just now but in general. Only it never really came through when he was acting like a massive bitch.
But now, with Bradley looking at him without any malice in his eyes and still recovering from the previous events, Max could see.
Bradley looked raw. His athlete suit dirty and torn at the sleeves, hair tussled and face bruised. His eyes tired and glassy and his cheeks pink. He looked real for once. Honest.

Max accidently overhears a conversation between Bradley and his father. He's never seen the boy look so small before. When things escalate, Max rushes in to help.Circumstances lead to the two becoming roommates. Max realizes that there is more to Bradley than what first meets the eye and he is determined to reveal it all.
Bradley struggles to let himself open up, but bit by bit Max tears down all his defenses. He's helpless against it.

“I’m not fixing your broken toy.”
Nightmare shakes his head, “he’s not broken.” With one swift movement, he unlocked the door to the cell, pulling that limp skeleton forward for a better view. A tentacle settles around its jaw, pulling its skull up to show open sockets. It’s awake. Error was so sure that it was unconscious.
Pin-pricked white for eyelights that aren’t seeing, black drips down its mouth like ink and, oh, Error’s shard of a soul pulses.
“He’s not useful this way.” Taking his silence for granted, Nightmare starts, “I want you to make him function.”
Four years after the Multiverse fell, the destroyer is tasked with the goal of extracting information from the protector. It turns into something more than just duty.
or, Error gets his enemy assigned to his care. Things escalate from there.
