Summary
Tony always imagined that willingness to comply had been Sid’s main appeal. He’s easy to direct, and rarely fights Tony’s wishes. Even at ten years old, Tony would look just slightly down at Sid and tell him hey, you should take an extra snack for me or Sid, stay right here for me, and Sid would simply blink up at him and nod like he couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Summary
“If I knew, would I have questions?” It’s sort of paradoxical and doesn’t explain anything. For some reason, it makes Diluc smile. They share one last glance, Diluc’s lips curled and Albedo’s face impassive as ever, before parting ways.
Diluc is not disappointed. They will do this again.
--
Kaeya wants less, Albedo wants more, and Diluc wants what he can't have.

Summary
He doesn’t know why he feels the need to explain himself, to justify sleeping with someone for the first time in ages when Kaeya can be found on someone’s arm nearly any hour of the day. “I do have needs, Captain. Surely you can understand that.”

Summary
Like sand in her throat, Alex laughs at the geometric monstrosity flickering above them in the cavern. She doesn’t even remember getting here. The beginning, when everything seemed normal, was routine. She takes these first steps without thinking of them, and she’s done it so many times she can almost see her footsteps in the damp sand in front of her, like a phantom trail.
“Y’know, funny thing,” she grits out, nails pressing bloody half-moons into her palms. “I don’t think it is.”
And it starts all over again.

Summary
Sirius likes to think he knows Remus most of all, yet while he knows all these things his thoughts simply drift through his mind, whirl away as if it’s all akin to knowing that James loves spicy foods and Peter is allergic to gurdyroot.
He doesn’t think about any of it, which means that sometimes Sirius doesn’t know a thing.

Summary
He could leave. No one would blame him; this gang, once so tightly knit, is a nervous horse just moments away from bolting and taking the carriage with it. Charles doesn’t know why he can’t just make himself go.
'You know exactly why', he thinks wryly, 'Of course you know.'

Summary
“Pony? Tell me you didn’t drown.” Steve. So she wasn’t dead yet. There was something vaguely concerning about the lack of enthusiasm that came with the realization. The first attempt at speech she made ended up a wheezy groan, and she could hear Steve chuckling. If Pony were less dead to the world, she’d punch him.

Summary
Piling into the car was uncomfortable and cramped, but there was something oddly satisfying about sitting on ratty blankets in the backseat, a box of fresh comfort food at his feet and Sirius’ legs splayed over his lap as the other backseat-inhabitant nestled himself into the corner and almost immediately began snoring. James met his eyes through the rearview, and this time when he saw the knowing smile, Remus smiled right back.
