George's senior year is supposed to be uneventful. He's supposed to spend his afternoons with his best friends Quackity and Niki in the shitty local diner, talking and joking around until they're kicked out. He's supposed to act like somebody he isn't so he can graduate from his quaint little Catholic school and move on. That's the plan. That's how it's supposed to go.
Until George meets Dream. He hates everything about him.

Summary
Simon Snow finds himself pulled into childlike fantasies and myths: a world of wizardry and witchcraft. Sure, it's not the oddest thing that could happen when you're an orphan living with distant, distant family, but it's odd enough.
Another story in which Simon is the Chosen One to save us all. A combination of the Harry Potter series and Carry On. The main, driving plot and the universe are Harry Potter-centric, but this is about the Carry On kids and is not affiliated with the real, existing HP universe.

“You and Dream.” Sapnap’s small smirk was audible. “Are you together?”
Or, despite being soulmates, they do nothing about it (well, okay, maybe not nothing).

Summary
“Dream, I probably would've slept with you.”
His head snaps around and Dream stares at him, eyes wide and mouth hanging open. It would be far more amusing if the admission didn't somewhat make his stomach churn.
In fairness, he fully said it for shock value. The reaction is just what he'd aimed for, and he revels in that. It's still a little embarrassing to say out loud.
He laughs lightly and reaches out to touch knuckles to Dream's cheek. His skin is hot under his touch. “You're all red.”
Dream swats his hand away and bows his head as though it could hide his flush from view.
“Yeah, well, you can't just say things like that and...”
“You always say things like that to me,” George argues.

or: Dream and George have been teasing each other a little too much with flirty remarks and sexual comments, so everything comes to a head during New Year's Eve, and George can't seem to keep his eyes off of Dream's hands.

Summary
“You know, you are way clingier than I expected,” Dream lets slip.
Immediately, he feels a surge of cold anxiety that ebbs away at his tired mind, which only worsens when the hand that had remained on his sleeve retreats reflexively. He mourns the loss of contact, silently cursing himself for his lack of filter.
But George remains calm, and only lets out a low, sleepy hum before opening his eyes slowly, turning to look at him again. The faint silver moonlight seeping through his blinds illuminates the back of his head, tinting him on a soft glow that makes him look ethereal.
“Does it bother you?” he replies, voice quiet and heavy with the drag of slumber.
Or, when George finally moves to Florida, Dream is surprised to discover how physically affectionate he actually is, and the already uncertain line between them blurs even more.

Summary
There on the other side of the glass is the merman, who remains completely still other than the occasional flick of his beautiful blue tail to stay upright. The creature floating there in the water is eerie in the vastness of the blue surrounding him. He understands now what Sapnap meant about his eyes. They look human. They look intelligent. Those dark brown eyes watch every move Dream makes as he eases off the ladder.
The merman's top half definitely looks human other than a few patches of blue scales scattered over his skin and the gills in his neck. Brown hair floats around his head, loose and soft-looking in the water. The tail is absolutely beautiful, shimmering in the light with each slight movement. It's sky blue and brilliant against the murky blue of the water.
Or, Dream makes friends with the merman who lives at the aquarium where he works.
