Started as a one-shot based on a prompt from the Ticking Timebomb discord server, and has now evolved into a multi-part side project.

“It’s not that I don’t love you,” Powder’s voice rang out brittlely, her eyes never deserting from Ekko’s. “I’m just scared, Ekko.”
“Scared of what?” Ekko’s eyes peered desperately into Powder’s eyes, perplexity clouding vividly on his face. Through furrowed eyebrows, the young boy patiently watched as his best friend fidgeted anxiously with the ends of her azure-blue hair.
“I’m scared,” Powder started, Ekko’s eyes widening sharply as full attention focused on the girl’s upcoming words. “I’m scared that if I love you too much, you’ll leave me too.”
Ekko loves Powder too much, Powder doubts herself too much.
