Summary
Sitting down on the edge of the tub, Lia tugs up her sleeve and reaches down to the water. With a sharp gasp, she draws her hand back. The water is ice cold, and when she lets out a shaky exhale, her breath is visible in the air. Steeling herself, she reaches down into the water. The cold shocks her, but she fumbles around under the dirty liquid for the plug. With a tug, she pulls it out and hears the water begin to drain. As she’s leaning back up, a hand with wet, black, wrinkled skin shoots up out of the water and latches onto her wrist. Before she can scream, she’s suddenly tugged off the small edge of the tub and tumbles towards the water. Her face is submerged, and she fights to keep her mouth shut despite her instincts telling her to scream for help.

Summary
Something thuds nearby, and Callie sits up in bed, eyes still fuzzy from sleep. She yawns and rubs her eyes, looking around the room for the source of the noise. When she doesn’t see anything, she huffs quietly. Sliding to the floor, her feet take her towards the door. At the doorway, something disturbs the silence again: the distant sound of footsteps. Callie holds her breath and creeps out of the room. On the landing, she stands on her toes to peer over the railing. She can see the front door, and, outside, through the windows on either side of the door, she sees a shadow pass by.
It walks one way, then disappears from sight for a second before it turns and walks back in front of the door. Callie’s eyes widen, and she backs up from view when the figure pauses its pacing directly in front of a window. Slowly, it turns, and it seems to stare right through the window, directly at her.Series

Summary
For as long as Louis can remember, he’s been obsessed with the idea of love. He’s read countless books about love at first sight and seen way too many Hallmark movies. The idea of a soulmate—someone made just for him—has been something he’s longed for as long as he can remember. It’s always been on his mind, and he’s made up countless scenarios for who they are or what they do, taking inspiration from literature. His mom fills in the rest of the blanks; he’s heard many stories about a wide-eyed, toddler-Louis staring at movie after movie, begging for just one more because he was so enraptured by romance. As he grew up, his tastes changed, of course; he’s branched out to fantasy, action, and even horror movies as well, but there’s always something about romance that he comes back to. So many tales of love have been told, retold over the years that Louis is nearly positive he’ll be swept off his feet. However, there’s one teensy little kink in his plan.
He’s single.

Summary
[“Well, I already have the plans in place to be back mid-June,” Zuko says, firm. “My classes won’t be started yet, so I can be there to—”
“Don’t worry about it,” Aang repeats, laughing. “There’s plenty of time!”
Which is true in its own way, two and a half whole months until the little sucker arrives, so Sokka isn’t quite sure why hearing Aang say hits him in the gut quite so hard.
Must be that indigestion.]
OR,
Sokka and Zuko have been roommates and best friends through college and graduation, through first jobs and new jobs and promotions, through friends getting married and sisters being pregnant and everything in between.
But that all ends in four days.
Four days to pack up an apartment. Four days before Zuko goes to law school and Sokka stays behind. Four days to untangle two lives that Sokka and Zuko have spent ten years weaving together.
Can you call it a divorce, if you were never actually together in the first place?

Summary
Sokka takes a strategic step back, but he also smiles: triumphant, like he baited Zuko into exactly what he wanted. Like it’s a challenge. It’s the same way he looked when they sized each other up at the prison, with Sokka in chains that left red marks around his wrist, in tattered prison garb, malnourished and angry. Back then, that was Sokka saying: I see your power. I see you. Now, see me.
Zuko saw him then. And he sees him now; different, but the same. I see you.
Zuko lights his daos in flame. Sokka grins, back to gravel and heat. “Come on, Fire Lord. Impress me.”
Zuko burns. His vision flickers with fire. His heart races. His blood sings. His body is like a magnet, pulling ever onward to meet Sokka’s. He advances.
He pins Sokka to the wall, blades against his throat.
Or, Zuko found Aang first, Sokka and Katara were imprisoned in Boiling Rock for trying to rescue their dad, and all Sokka knows is he's pretty sure he's not supposed to think the Fire Lord is attractive but he's never let things like rules stop him before.
