“Regulus!” Sirius’ voice suddenly sounds muddy and indistinct. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
Regulus isn’t quite sure. He stumbles backwards a bit as he blinks, attempting to sort out the sudden rush and pouring stream that is overtaking him.
“Have to…” Regulus’ voice sounds distant even to his own ears. “Need to…”
“Oh god, was he poisoned?” Comes Peter’s voice, sounding on-edge. “It was right after he ate- Sirius, that was supposed to be your cake!”
“You don’t think I know that?” Sirius bites back, but Regulus isn’t listening. He’s only staring into thin air, blinking slowly as his world crumbles around him.
“James-” Regulus bites out, the name so packed with emotion, and yet not muttered of his own volition. “I need you, James.”

Regulus accidentally takes a love potion and falls for James Potter.

“We are never doing this again.”
James glances up at Regulus. He’s standing by James’ bedroom door with his keys and phone dangling from his grip. His cheeks are brushed pink, his curls amiss and the jut of his lip has been ruthlessly bruised. He looks perfectly wrecked by the hands of James Potter.
“Never,” James says back, biting down a smile.
Regulus stares at him, eyes narrowed and gleaming, before he turns and leaves through James’ bedroom door.
Not even a day later, James has Regulus cornered against his kitchen counter.

Half a year after James Graduated from Hogwarts he started his Training into becoming an Auror. Now another half a year later he has to absolve an two semester training unit in wich he will stay in a Family to provide personal protection.
Unfortunately he gets assigned to the Black Family where Sirius little Brother Regulus still lives.
