it’s late, like — almost past two am, when pete gets home, and he’s frazzled and wired and freezing from the hour-long subway ride back from maddie’s, and — and for some reason, cody’s in his bed.
“what the fuck, man,” he says, accidentally brushing cody’s nose as he fumbles his way towards his bed in the dark.
when cody still needs a bed to sleep in, he falls asleep in pete's, of course; as they're getting ready for bed, they get to know each other a little more before the inevitable happens. after all, spooning's always a dangerous game if you're doing it right, as i always say.
