Summary
Henry Fox was the librarian Alex saw most often, which was a problem. The heated exchange they’d shared over the choice of lights in the library was one Alex replayed in his head often, when he couldn’t sleep. He’d come with reasonable, rational, researched information, and Henry’d shot him down. Henry hadn’t even looked at the articles Alex printed out for him.
Henry Fox was infuriating, and he was also infuriatingly hot.

Summary
Honestly, sometimes having a kid is so fucking annoying. Like when your eight year old comes home from her tia’s and talks about the economics of a lemonade stand, for fuck’s sake, and puts together such a convincing pitch that even thinking about saying no makes him feel like a complete dick.
So now he’s using a nail gun he borrowed from his neighbour to help her make a little stand out of lumber. And somehow, he hopes anyway, not making it look like something she’s gonna get tetanus from or get crushed by.
She looks cute as hell in her little overalls, though.
Or, Alex’s kid has a lemonade stand, and Henry is their best customer.

With a wry smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, he leans against the doorframe, arms crossed. "Let me guess," he says, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "Henry Fox?"
Henry doesn’t reply immediately, apparently taking in Alex’s appearance and muttering a ‘Jesus Christ”, and Alex is unsure if he should be flattered or offended. Henry regains his composure quickly and offers Alex a smile, his cheeks coloring slightly. “Indeed,” he replies, his accent crisp and proper, and Alex kind of hates how that works for him a little too well. “Alexander, I presume?”
Or, Alex and his daughter move to Willowdale Springs and fall in love with a four-legged lady with soulful eyes. Oh, and there's a handsome blond guy too.
